Join the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music an as we welcome guest pianist José Raul López for an evening of music by 19th century Jewish composers. Entitled "Stars of David", the evening will feature works by Felix Mendelssohn, Ferdinand Hiller, Fanny Hensel, Benjamin Godard, Charles Valentin Alkan, Julius Schulhoff, and Charles Valentin Alkan. As UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music's Head of Piano, we appreciate Inna Faliks' facilitation of this event for the school.

“Ingeniously original music”– The Wall Street Journal  The Lowell Milken Center for Music of American Jewish Experience and the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music are proud to present the West Coast premiere of composer Tod Machover’s chamber opera, Schoenberg in Hollywood, May 18, 20 and 22, 2025 at the newly-renovated UCLA Nimoy Theater.  These performances are part of Schoenberg 150, the worldwide celebration of the sesquicentennial of composer Arnold Schoenberg’s birth.
