Danielle Stein
Danielle Stein is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Musicology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on music and politics, most specifically World War II musical propaganda and the use of music in psychological operations in the United States. She is the Graduate Researcher for the Digital Humanities projects at the Lowell Milken Center for Music of American Jewish Experience where she manages the Database of Recorded Jewish Music, an interactive database of aggregated archival holdings for research and exploration. As an avid community arts producer, Danielle maintains a private voice studio in Los Angeles and San Diego, serves as the Assistant Director of the UCLA Early Music Ensemble, and has formerly served on the board of the Émigré Composers Orchestra and as the Assistant Artistic Director and Vice President of the Celestial Opera Company.
